The role of a Buffet Attendant/Slopeside Cafe Attendant is an integral part of the overall success of the Food&BeverageDepartmenthereatTheLakeLouiseSkiResort. TheBuffetAttendantprovidesguests with exceptional customer service and possesses a strong working knowledge of all buffet menu items. The buffet attendant shall perform all required duties in a friendly and professional manner, and ensure that each guest has an enjoyable dining experience. Other responsibilities will include removing used dishes, assisting with cleaning duties, and barista duties as required. It is the responsibility of the barista on duty to prepare quality coffees and other beverages quickly and accurately.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure the buffet is constantly monitored and maintained
- Cash handling
- Maintain and stock product to established par levels
- Ensure cleanliness & maintenance of all lodge areas at all times including restrooms
- Table maintenance – setting, bussing etc
- Prepare drink orders quickly and efficiently
- Knowledge and adherence of AGLC legislation
- Stay productive at all times and prepare for future needs as time allows
Job Requirements/Qualifications:
- Self motivated, can work well in a team as well as independently
- Ensure quality of product & services offered at all times
- Strong guest service & interpersonal abilities
- Punctuality and reliability is essential
- Previous cash-handling experience an asset
- Current Pro-Serve certification – must be received within 30days of hire
- Energetic and self –motivated
- Strong written and verbal English with a second language considered an asset
- First aid certificate an asset
Work Schedule: 5 days on/2 days off
Dress Code: Uniform shirt provided at cost, black pants and comfortable shoes in accordance with appearance policy
