The Ski Technicians main responsibilities consist of assisting our guests with the selection of skis by providing friendly and knowledgeable service. The regular duties include mounting bindings, and maintaining the ski equipment fleet. Although the area of focus for this position is on skis and snowboards alike, it may also require a variety of work in multiple areas of our operations. The ski technician is also responsible for safety equipment inventories and upkeep, assisting in down days and driving skiers to and from staging areas during the day.

Preferred Skills and Core Competencies:

  • Able to mount bindings, wax skis, and make basic repairs to skis, boots, and bindings.
  • Basic understanding of avalanche rescue equipment, including beacons and ABS bags.
  • Solution based and creative problem solving skills are required.
  • Self motivated with the ability to work efficiently unsupervised.
  • Able to multi-task and prioritize, while taking initiative.
  • Able to perform the same tasks repeatedly with satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and well organized ski shop and boot room.
  • Friendly and positive personality with a genuine desire to help and please others.
  • Must be approachable, dependable, and a responsible team member.
  • Minimum one season of ski technician experience.
  • Passion for skiing and the outdoors is an asset.

Requirements:

  • Class 4 Driving License.
  • Experience working with power tools.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary.

Salary is negotiable, depending on experience.
