There is no place quite like Moraine Lake, a glacially-fed lake in Banff National Park, 15 minutes from the town of Lake Louise. Moraine Lake is visited by approximately 450,000 people every summer. Moraine Lake Lodge is located alongside the glacially fed lake in Banff National Park. We are in the Valley of the Ten Peaks; a 20 minute drive away from the Village Lake Louise, approximately 1 hour from Banff and 3 hours from Calgary International Airport. Moraine Lake is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise, surrounded by endless outdoor activities. Mountain Life might be a great way to describe the area with a handful of Lodges, hotels and resort cities in the surrounding areas.

We offer a work experience like no other. Spend the summer with us delivering world class guest service, exploring Canada’s oldest National Park (est. 1885), earning money for your studies and/or travels and making lifelong friendships with team members gathered from all over the world!

Team member activities include white water rafting, summer scavenger hunt, Christmas in July celebration, unlimited hiking (Consolation Lakes, Larch Valley, Eiffel Lake, Plain of Six Glaciers, Lake Agnes Tea House…too many to list!!!) and participation in the “Experience Banff National Park Passport” a chance to gain access to some of amazing attractions and activities.

Moraine Lake Lodge has on-site team member accommodation, including room, board and laundry for $13.00 a day and is deducted from each (semi-monthly) paycheck. A $100.00 damage deposit ($50.00 from your second and fourth pay cheques) will be deducted from each team member. Any damages to your accommodations will be taken out of this deposit. Remaining deposits will be credited back at the end of the season.

Our on-site staff accommodation (five buildings) includes laundry facilities and common areas. Rooms are set up in a dormitory style and are considered semi-private with 3-4 persons per room (non-coed). The beds are unique in that they are designed as solid bunk beds with one side only opening up to one side of the room and the other side only opening up to that person’s side. Each room unit has a washroom with a shower. Each dorm area has a window, desk, armoire, and we provide all bedding. Laundry facilities are free of charge and we provide detergent. For candidates who are hired as a couple, or accept positions as a Manager or Supervisor, there is also the possibility of receiving accommodation in more private rooms.

When deciding to accept a position with Moraine Lake Lodge it is important to understand that you will not have complete privacy in your living quarters. For some people this may be a problem. The idea is for you to either be working, sleeping or out enjoying the area – not locked up in your room! For those of you who have experience in shared accommodation this should be familiar and will not be a problem. However, for those who have not experienced this type of arrangement you will definitely want to consider all aspects before accepting a position as it can be a challenging living situation.
